Kathmandu — The Nepali film Akshara, releasing nationwide on Bhadra 26, has unveiled a striking new ensemble character poster, and it immediately communicates the film's emotional weight. Every face in the frame carries worry, responsibility, and quiet pain rather than a smile — a deliberate visual choice that sets a serious, socially grounded tone for what the production team has described as a family and social drama.
At the center of the poster is lead actress Nancy Khadka, looking contemplative and deeply serious. Behind her stands Sushil Sitaula, and surrounding them are Rista Basnet, Anshu Maharjan, Sushil Pokhrel, Srishti Khadka, and Pushkar Raut — each carrying their own distinct emotional expression that suggests a story full of burden, difficult choices, and human complexity.
The full cast also includes Uttam KC, Geeta Adhikari, Birendra Kushwaha, Sirjana Adhikari, Mohan Adhikari, Suman Jyoti Neupane (Lyagri Dada), and Srishti Khadka, with child actors Ronak Khadka and Prisa Dhungana.
The film is directed by Vinayraj Paudel, presented by Soni Thapa (Dhungana) under the banner of Kshit Babu Production House, and produced by Ugrasena Dhungana and Sugrasena Dhungana, with executive producers Suraj Thapakaji and Suman Jyoti Neupane. The original story is by producer Ugrasena himself, with screenplay and dialogues by Abhimanyu Nirawi and the director. Cinematography is by Dipen Basnayat and action direction by Shankar Maharjan.
