Kathmandu — The trailer of Lajjawati, directed by Rajbahadur Sane and releasing on Shrawan 29, has been officially unveiled at a special event in Kathmandu, and it presents a richly emotional story built around two couples whose lives become intertwined through love, hardship, and social pressure.
The trailer shows Mukun Bhusal and Januka Bishwokarma as one romantic pair, with Shrikrishna Niraula and Menuka Majhi as another. Their initial warmth, friendship, and family closeness gradually fractures under the weight of financial struggle, social pressure, and betrayal — a trajectory that the trailer handles with both emotional honesty and dramatic intensity.
Director Sane described the film as a story about the ups and downs that couples face in real life. The film also features Keshav Rijal, Dhiren Shakya, Priya Rijal, Hiunbala Gautam, Bishal Pahari, Sipi Poudel, RR Khadka, Vinod Shrestha, Deepak Thapa, and Kajal Bhujel, among others.
The film is presented under Aaha Films Pvt.
