Kathmandu — Parvati, directed by and starring Neeta Dhungana, held its premiere screening to an invited audience that included film industry figures, journalists, and well-wishers — and the response confirmed what the production team had quietly hoped for: the film has exceeded expectations on multiple fronts.
Veteran comedian and cultural icon Madankrishna Shrestha was effusive in his praise: "The film is extraordinary. What Neeta has done as an actress and director in this film is remarkable. From direction to acting, she has proven her multi-faceted talent in every department."
Producer Harihar Adhikari and filmmaker Arun Budha Magar attended the screening and expressed confidence that Parvati would connect strongly with audiences across Nepal.
The film stars Neeta Dhungana alongside Deepashree Niraula, Ashok Darji, Siru Bisht, Radhika Kandel, Raj Pangeni Sharma, Rajendra Nepali, and Asha Poudel. The screenplay is by Shivam Adhikari, DOP is Sudeep Baral, with editing by Sahil Khan, executive production by Shankar Pande, and produced under the banner of Neeta Dhungana Films by Harihar Adhikari.
Parvati opens nationwide on Bhadra 12.
