Kathmandu — Action star Nikhil Upreti has officially unveiled the first-look poster of his upcoming film Acharya, releasing on Ashoj 9, and it has immediately sparked conversation for its visually unusual and symbolically rich presentation.
In the poster, Nikhil wears a traditional dhoti at his waist while sporting a VR (Virtual Reality) headset over his eyes. A hawk rests on his right arm, and a tattoo on his back reads "Dharmasansthapanarthaya Sambhavami Yuge Yuge" (I appear in every age to restore righteousness), along with the number "2.0". The mountain backdrop frames the entire image. The combination of ancient symbolism and modern technology signals a film that will blend action, spirituality, and contemporary themes in unexpected ways.
The poster marks Nikhil's return to the screen after a decade, and Acharya is also his second directorial venture following Bhairav. The cast includes Purnika Sinjapati, Pramod Agrahari, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, and Indian actor Deepraj Rana, among others. The film is produced by Krishna Bhattarai under the banner of Nikhil Upreti Productions Pvt. Ltd.
