Kathmandu — The cast of Aa Bata Aama 2 has welcomed its third confirmed female lead. Actress Malika Mahat has been officially signed for the film by director and producer Chandra Panta, with the contract formalized on Sunday. She will appear as a central female character and is expected to share significant screen time opposite Pal Shah.
Malika joins previously announced actresses Rista Gurung and Nikita Acharya, giving the film three distinct female roles alongside its established male cast.
The confirmed cast now includes Pal Shah, Aakash Shrestha, Sabin Shrestha, Bipana Thapa, Pradeep Rawat, Saigres Pokhrel, Gajit Bisht, and Narek Khadka, among others. The story and screenplay are written by director Panta himself, and the film is being produced under Arya Entertainment.
Shooting is expected to begin within a few weeks, with a release date of Ashoj 30 targeted to coincide with the Dashain festival. The film has already sold out its overseas screening rights in the United States and Canada ahead of production even beginning, a remarkable show of pre-release international confidence.
