Kathmandu — Work has officially commenced on the music for Paras, the third directorial feature from action filmmaker Krisha Chaulagain, as recording begins for the film's first song.
Nepal Idol Season 3 winner Sajja Chaulagain has recorded vocals for the track, with both words and music composed by singer and composer Koshish Kshetri. Director Krisha Chaulagain, known for her exacting standards around music quality in her films, is currently focused on ensuring the song reaches the level she envisions before moving into principal photography.
The film is an action and social drama, and its cast is shaping up to be one of the more exciting ensembles currently in development for a Nepali action film. Confirmed cast members include Nikhil Upreti, Jasita Gurung, Sushil Shrestha, Priyanka Karki, and Niruta Singh in lead roles. All named cast members have already signed contracts with the production.
The screenplay is written by Indian writer Sachin Ladiya, with cinematography assigned to Purushottam Pradhan. The names of remaining cast and technical team members are being kept under wraps for now. With music recording now underway, the production team is preparing to move into the shooting phase in the near future.
