Kathmandu — Actress, writer, director, and producer Neeta Dhungana is wearing many hats for her debut directorial film Parvati, releasing on Bhadra 12. She recently released two posters for the film — but sharp-eyed observers have noticed a glaring error that has since generated significant discussion online.
In one poster, Neeta is shown sitting in a classroom, her left hand visible with four fingers. In the second poster, where co-star Ashok Darji carries her and she is shown smiling, the same hand has five fingers. The discrepancy is not subtle once noticed, and it has raised questions about the quality control applied to the film's publicity materials.
The irony has not been lost on observers: with Neeta handling the story, screenplay, direction, and lead acting role simultaneously, the oversight speaks to the very real challenges of doing everything yourself without adequate checks along the way — a gentle but pointed reminder that creative ambition benefits from a team that reviews even the smallest details.
Parvati also stars Deepashree Niraula, Siru Bisht, Radhika Kandel, Raj Pangeni Sharma, Rajendra Nepali, and Asha Poudel, among others.
