Kathmandu — Actress and director Rekha Thapa has confirmed that her third directorial feature Maya Bhanekei Yasto Hola will release on Bhadra 26, coinciding with the auspicious Haritalika Teej festival — a timing that speaks directly to the film's themes of love, relationships, and family emotion.
"This is not just a love story," Thapa said. "It is a story that encompasses various dimensions of life. I am confident audiences will find their own experiences reflected in it."
The film is produced by Harinarayan Shrestha and Mayadevi Shrestha, and features a cast including Madankrishna Shrestha, Dil Shrestha, Srishti Shrestha, Niti Shah, Namrata Shrestha, Usha Khadgi, Laxmi Giri, Bishal Pahari, Sangam Bhandari, Ravi Dangol, Sunita Shrestha, and Vinod Paudel, among others — including four former Miss Nepal titleholders. The screenplay is by Dhruv Lamsal, with cinematography by Sudeep Baral. Distribution is handled by Rich, Apple, and FD.
