Kathmandu - As its release date of Baisakh 18 draws ever closer, Laalibazar has offered audiences a tantalizing glimpse of its third song, "Mai Ramri Chhu Ta Ni", with a short clip released through Shatkona Arts' official YouTube channel. The production team has confirmed that the full version of the song will only be available in theaters — a deliberate choice that adds to the anticipation.
The clip features the voice of Deepika Bayambu Magar, with chorus support from Ranjita Bishwokarma, Bindu BC, Sunita Sunar, Manoj Bik, and Govind Anek. Words and music are by Prakash Saput, with choreography by Pradip Lama. Centered on a celebration of feminine beauty, the clip places Swastima Khadka prominently at its heart, and has already begun circulating widely across social media platforms.
The film's trailer is currently trending at number 2 on YouTube's movie chart in Nepal — a strong indicator of the growing audience interest ahead of release.
Laalibazar is directed by Yam Thapa and tells the story of a Badi community woman — played by Swastima Khadka — who fights to protect her daughter from the exploitative nathiya tradition that has trapped generations of women in sex work. The film is produced by Max Dipesh Khatri and Rabindra Singh Baniya under the banner of Shatkona Arts, with Pradip Bhattarai as executive producer, and features music by Prakash Saput, Khem Senchury, and Jayan J Waiba.
